Product details
Eucalyptus | Blue gum firewood is an invasive tree species highly sought after for its excellent burning properties. Blue gum, a species of eucalyptus (commonly Eucalyptus globulus), is a dense hardwood that provides long-lasting heat, making it ideal for use in wood stoves, fireplaces, open fires and pizza ovens.
It takes a little more effort to light compared to soft wood but it produces a lovely hot bed of coals that will burn throughout the night. It leaves behind relatively little ash compared to softer woods and has a pleasant eucalyptus scent when burned.
Blue gum plantations have spread into natural habitats threatening water resources and biodiversity. Animals may avoid areas dominated by eucalyptus due to the lack of food or shelter.
Each bag has roughly 10 logs with an estimated weight of around 7kg’s.
